ADVANCED BRAIN FUNCTION TESTING
NSFL1 NeuroScan uses an objective, FDA-cleared device to deliver a comprehensive group of tests - EEG, gEEG, ERP. EKG, brain mapping and machine leaming analysis - with a complete board-certified neurologist overread.

NSFL1 NEUROSCAN
Concussion and mTBI often don't show up on structural imaging. CT and MRI show what the brain looks like. NSFL1 NeuroScan measures how the brain is working, adding functional data that can complement CT, MRI and DTI and give treating physicians a more complete picture.
OUR SERVICES
NSFL1 NeuroScan provides a comprehensive, non-invasive evaluation of brain function using advanced technology and physician-guided analysis.

Records the brain's electrical activity to identify abnormal patterns evaluate brain function.

WHAT THE EXAM MEASURES
ERP testing records the brain's direct response to a sight, a sound or a task. Each result is compared against a normative reference and graded on an easy-to-read A-F color scale.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
NSFL1 NeuroScan is a non-invasive brain function testing service that uses EEG, qEEG, ERP, EKG, brain mapping, and machine learning analysis. The results are reviewed by a board-certified neurologist to provide objective information that supports clinical evaluation and treatment decisions.
CT and MRI scans primarily show the brain's physical structure, while NSFL1 NeuroScan evaluates how the brain functions. It may identify functional abnormalities that are not visible on conventional imaging, providing additional information for a more complete neurological assessment.
NSFL1 NeuroScan can provide objective brain function data that may help physicians evaluate mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI), including concussions. However, the results are considered alongside medical history, symptoms, and other examinations. NSFL1 NeuroScan does not independently diagnose or rule out a brain injury.

No. NSFL1 NeuroScan is a non-invasive procedure that does not require needles, injections, or radiation. Sensors placed on the scalp record electrical brain activity while the patient rests and completes simple tasks.
The brain activity recording typically takes approximately 30 minutes. Patients should plan to spend about an hour at the testing facility for preparation and the complete appointment.
CONTACT US
A comfortable sensor cap is placed on the patient's head to record brain activity. The patient rests with their eyes open and closed and responds to simple images, sounds, and on-screen tasks. The collected information is then analyzed and reviewed by a board-certified neurologist.
